What I’m Loving Wednesday {Glimpses of Fall}

I’ve been breaking {okay, maybe tweaking} my own rules and slowly bringing in the teeniest bits of fall into my house.  I usually force myself to wait until September 1st to go full out fall-crazy, but since we’re traveling to PA this weekend for Labor Day, I’m allowing myself to decorate tomorrow.  (Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!)  I promise to show you my fall décor for this year once it’s up and set the way I like it….but in the meantime, here’s some things I’m loving this week:

{1} Vanilla Chai Hand Soap by Method

wilw 015

Girls, seriously?  SERIOUSLY.  This soap is unreal.  I dare you not to sniff your hands over and over again after washing with it.  No really.  I dare you. :)

{2} Petite Pumpkin Spice Donuts

wilw 021

Found this recipe via Pinterest and it is soooo yummy!  Chris and Luke and I were big fans.  I liked them plain (I gave them plain to Luke, too), and Chris liked them both plain and dipped in butter and cinnamon-sugar.  They would be super tasty with hot cider!  I happened to get my mini donut pan off a resale site on Facebook but you can find them at Target, too!

I do recommend to eat these as soon as possible after baking – in my opinion, that’s when they’re best.

{3} Burlap and Grapevine

wilw 019

Stopped at JoAnn’s the other day with my mom….fall crafting is going to be starting soon!  I have an idea for a wreath and the burlap is going to be made into a table runner.  Can’t wait! :)

{4} Leopard Flats from Target

wilw 011

These have been on my wish list for over a year(!!). Finally - a simple (cheap!) leopard flat!  They were on sale last week for $14 (and it also happened to be tax-free week in CT, yay!) so I snatched them up.  I love them and I’m so excited to wear them as the weather gets cooler.

{5} Organic Chai by Tazo

wilw 016

My husband doesn’t drink coffee but has recently become *obsessed* with chai tea.  This mix is $2.99 this week at Target – you blend half mix, half milk, and heat.  I’m not as much of a chai fan as he is but I have to admit it’s really good (especially with whipped cream and cinnamon on top!) lol

{6} Back in the CVS Game

wilw 001

I fell off the coupon bandwagon for a while during the tiredness and sickness of first trimester.  I’m back on and had such a good week at CVS this week!  I was so pumped.  I got everything in the picture – 4 dish  soaps, 6 tissues, 2 packs of pull-ups, 2 candy bars, a 2-pack of floss, a Venus razor, and Stayfree pads (post-baby recovery!) for only $13 after my $10 gas card and $6 Extra Bucks!  Whoo hoo!

{7} Honey Nut Cheerios & Annie’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese

wilw 018

Okay so this isn’t really fall related, either.  It’s just for my brain to remember (and laugh later) about some of my crazy pregnancy cravings.  My husband loves cereal and I hadn’t bought him any kinds in a while that weren’t all-natural.  Honey Nut Cheerios was on sale last week so I bought him some.  I have NEVER liked this cereal but wouldn’t you know, he was eating it the other night and I could smell it and I HAD to have some.  I don’t let myself eat it everyday but ooooohhhh it tastes so good to my pregnant belly!  lol  I justify it to myself via the fact that my mom-of-2 brain forgets to take her prenatals sometimes (even when they’re right on the counter), so at least I’m getting good ol’ sprayed-on vitamins in my Cheerios!

Oh, and the Annies?  The natural version of Kraft blue box.  SO GOOOOOOD! :)

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Deals at CVS & Big Y {Week of 11/6/11}–for Thanksgiving and Operation Christmas Child boxes!

Hey guys!  Just wanted to pop on here and share a few deals I found this week that might interest some of you.  With Thanksgiving coming up (and at my house this year!!), plus, the deadline for Operation Christmas Child boxes arriving soon, I am on above-average deal alert over here!

{I realize that Big Y won’t apply to some of you, but I wanted to post it here for the sake of my fellow New England girls.}

- Ivory 3-packs of soap (plain or aloe) are 99 cents this week at Big Y, as are 2-packs of Irish Springs at CVS.  These are great to put in your shoeboxes!  Just be sure to place inside a plastic sandwich baggie (per box instructions).  It’s also a kind gesture to include a fluffy washcloth, since it would be really sad if the child receiving your soap didn’t have a washcloth to go with it!

deals 004

- You know from my Fridge and Freezer Vlog that I usually buy the Francesco Rinaldi “To Be” brand of spaghetti sauce.  It is on sale this week, 2/$3 at Big Y.  There was a 35 cents off coupon in this Sunday’s paper, plus you can print out two additional 35 cent coupons by following this link, courtesy of For the Mommas.  The coupons will all double, making the sauce only 80 cents a jar  - an AWESOME stock-up price!

deals 007

- Canned veggies this week are 2/$1 at CVS, and Ocean Spray cranberry sauce is $1!  This is great for making things like green bean casserole at Thanksgiving (yes, clean eating goes out the window when you’re hosting traditional Thanksgiving for your family! lol)

deals 006

- Also at CVS this week is a GREAT deal on Hallmark cards: Buy any 3 cards (excluding boxed sets), get $3 Extra Care Bucks back.  The great thing?  This deal works on 99 cent cards!  So you can spend $2.97 on cards and then get $3 back to spend in-store!  I have lots of nieces and nephews, plus plenty of other relatives to buy birthday cards for…I always stock up on cards throughout the year!

deals 001

-  And if you are still in the diaper stage like we are, you can roll those $3 ECB from the cards into a good deal on diapers this week, as well.  Boxes of Pampers diapers are $19.99 and are giving back $4 ECB.  There was also a $2/1 box of Pampers diapers coupon in last week’s paper, if you still have that.  So combine your $3 ECB from the card deal, plus your $2 coupon, and you’re spending $14.99 for a box of diapers, plus you have $4 left to spend in the store!  (Also, CVS has a promotion now where if you buy 6 packages of diapers, the 7th is free – and the boxes count as TWO packages.  That free coupon really helped me out a few weeks ago when we didn’t have any more money in our grocery budget and we were out of diapers!  Good timing, CVS. :)

deals 008

-  Oh, and lastly I wanted to share that the “One Pie” brand of pumpkin is on sale for 2/$3 at Big Y.  (Libby’s is supposed to be on sale at CVS for the same price but my store didn’t have any pumpkin in stock at all).  This is a great price on pumpkin – I’m stocking up so that we can enjoy pumpkin waffles and pancakes all year.

Anyone else found some awesome deals for upcoming events?  I’m all ears!

Consider this Part 2 to My Last Post

When I typed that last post about CVS, I had NO idea that it would cause a bit of drama!  WOW.  First of all, that post has already received 1,921 hits in the 24 hours it has been up, and almost 1,000 of those hits have been from Facebook.  At least one sweet woman has e-mailed me (hi, Beth!) to say that she shared the deal with her coupon group on Facebook, which I think is awesome.  Suffice it to say that that number is waaaaaaaaaay more visits than I usually get on my little blog!  By a long shot! haha

The downside of that post is that I have received some hurtful, thoughtless comments (which were immediately deleted).  So you will notice that comment moderation is turned on, and I will probably keep it on for a few weeks.  Let me just encourage all of you to remember that (as corny as it sounds) behind every blog you read is a real person with real feelings.  It is easy to be a bully when you write anonymously behind a computer screen, but those words can hurt someone else.

I, like many of you, have a small monthly budget to work with – hence why you see so many posts about thrift stores and yard sales.  CVS has been a huge blessing to me and my family, because I have learned (thanks to Money Saving Mom) how to combine coupons and sales to save literally thousands of dollars over the past several years.  What I didn’t type after yesterday’s post was that I was able to roll my 7 ECB into buying swim diapers for my son.  After using a Pamper’s coupon, those came out to only $.50.  That’s why I did the deal – to save on that expensive summer necessity.  I am not at all ashamed to say that I bought those items – I consider it a win-win for my family and for the person at my yard sale next week who will be able to buy them for 90-95% off.

I have a small, 3-level plastic container where I keep my drugstore items – when that container is full, I take a break from doing deals.  I am certainly not a hoarder or a miser. Sometimes I sell my few overstock items, and sometimes I give them away.  I am THANKFUL for the blessing that coupons and learning about stores has been to my family.  I am also thankful that I was able to help some of you out yesterday.

Lastly, someone yesterday had a question about how I was able to do the stacking of coupons at CVS.  That is the great thing bout shopping there – you can stack a CVS coupon with a manufacturer coupon to get maximum savings.  One of the reasons I never shop at Walgreens is because they don’t have that policy and things get very, very confusing – you have to end up buying all sorts of filler items and to me that just gets too overwhelming.

I guess I just want to ask that before you type a comment – to me or any other blogger – please consider the real person behind that blog.  Life is far, far too short to go around leaving nasty anonymous comments on other people’s personal websites.

I mean, really…you could spend that time learning to coupon instead. ;)

How to Make $4 at CVS This Week

I just had to pop on and share what I did today at CVS, in the hopes that it can help some of you!  This does require you to have access to two coupon inserts from Sunday, but just hold on tight if you only bought one paper and not two…it will still make you money.

At the front of your CVS store, scan your CVS card at the big red Price Checker/Coupon Printer.  You should get a $3/$10 First Aid coupon (this was advertised in the CVS circular this week, so everyone around the country should be able to get this).

Then pick up 2 Motrin PM (20 count) and 1 Bayer Advanced (20 count):

early june 2011 009

Your total for these three items will be $11, putting you just over the $10 necessary to use the coupon (and yes, these qualify as first aid items – at least they did at my store, and I had a manger check me out).

At the register, use:

- 2 $1/1 Motrin PM coupons from yesterday’s paper
- 1 $2/1 Bayer Advanced coupon from yesterday’s paper
- 1 $3/$10 CVS First Aid coupon

These will bring your total down from $11 to only $4:

early june 2011 006

BUT, at the end of your receipt, you will receive $6 in ECB from the Motrin and $1 in ECB from the Bayer….$7 to spend at the store, having only spent $4 initially.  PLUS, there is a rebate form in yesterday’s paper for the Bayer, which you can send in to the company and get another $1 in the mail.

So you just made FOUR DOLLARS and walked out with 3 items. :)  Loving it!

If you only got one paper, obviously, this will still make you money – just $3 instead of $4 (assuming you send in the rebate).  Still a great scenario!

Even better for me is that these items are going to be sold at my yard sale next Saturday.  My mom thinks I’m a little crazy for selling personal care items at a yard sale, because no one will buy them.  I told her that after having been to hundreds of yards sales, plus having two yard sales of my own and selling at the flea market twice, there is a customer for every item you can imagine.  At the flea market last year, I sold ginormous maxi pads that I had gotten totally free with coupons.  And sure enough, a woman walked up and got a whole bag of them, and walked around the entire flea market with a bag of pads. (It’s okay, you can laugh. hahaha)

Remember, people, we live in a world where you can buy underwear at Goodwill.  There is a buyer out there for every product!! :)

Happy shopping!

CVS & Target Deals to Try This Week {3-6-11}

Before I start, I wanted to say thanks for all of the encouragement that was offered in my last post.  We are still playing the waiting game, but that definitely doesn’t mean I haven’t been thrifting and hitting up the drugstores!  I mean, shopping the drugstores for deals is one of my life’s greatest joys.  haha!  {You think I’m kidding…}

Anyway, yesterday was fun for me because I took my sister along to see the deals I did.  I promised her that I would teach her everything I know about coupons this summer after she graduates from college since she’s getting married in September and will need to know all about this stuff.  She was very impressed – I have to admit, part of me felt like a total dork and part of me was having a blast showing her how to shop frugally.  :)

Anyway, blah blah blah….on to the deals! :)

Here’s what I purchased yesterday at CVS:

late feb 2011 047

- 2 bottles of Wisk (2 for $10 – my target price for laundry detergent is $2 or less, which is what this worked out to after coupons)
- Head and Shoulders for Chris ($1.47 on clearance)
- gummy worms for Chris ($1.50)
- travel baby wipes ($1.99 – these are not at all a good deal but I’ve been buying my wipes from Amazon lately and they only come in refill packages – it’s nice to have a travel pack for the diaper bag)

Here’s the coupons I used:

- 2 $2/1 Wisk coupons from the Sunday paper (3-6-11)
- $1/1 Head and Shoulders coupon (from the P&G coupon insert, I believe?)
- $1/1 CVS-brand baby wipes (printed from the red coupon scanner at CVS)
- $2/1 candy or beverage item (simply “Like” CVS on Facebook and you will see on the sidebar a link for the free item.  They send it to your e-mail to print out.  The great thing about this coupon is that it automatically takes $2 off your order, so I got 50 cents free! And since I had a $1 off coupon for my shampoo, I basically was able to get a free bag of gummy worms and a free bottle of shampoo!)

I also used $6.98 in ECB from last week’s purchase of Crest toothpaste.

I paid 40 cents out of pocket and was given $2 ECB back from buying the Wisk!  Whoo hoo!

I also shopped at Target yesterday and found some good deals, but my favorite was this:

late feb 2011 055

Target-brand ibuprofen (might also be acetaminophen as well but I didn’t check) is on sale this week for $1.07.  If you go the coupon tab on the bottom of Target’s website, there is a coupon for $1 off any Target-brand pain relief.  It let me print out a limit of 2.  So 2 bottles for 14 cents!  Loving it!

I also got some things at Rite Aid,  but I forgot to take a picture and I’m feeling way too lazy to get my camera out and download more pictures.  But hopefully these tips will help some of you!

Happy shopping! :)

The Food I Buy – With Pictures

About two weeks ago I wrote about how expensive food is when you’re trying to eat “clean”, and some of you commented in agreement.  My friend Kathy asked if I’d be willing to share what I buy, so I took pictures throughout the week to show you where the grocery money goes!

My budget for each week is $120 – that includes all food, all personal care, all household, and all baby items.  I have started using cash (so that when it’s gone, it’s gone), but the week before last we desperately needed diapers so I used $20 extra to buy them in bulk when Target had a sale.

{I eat a lot of high-protein, high-veggie meals on Somersizing, otherwise our grocery bills wouldn’t so high. It’s a lot cheaper to eat beans and tortillas!  lol }

Here’s how I spent $100:

At Weis, my total was $21.32 after coupons and sales:

005

I only bought the Smart Taste pasta because it was free after coupons (it has preservatives in it and I will use it to make pasta salads this summer for picnics and stuff).  Some of the expensive items were the cheese, organic milk, and 100% natural deli turkey meat. I was able to get the cream cheese, the mayo (also not clean), and all of the pastas for free after coupons.

Produce is so expensive at Weis, so I buy whatever is on sale.  That means we eat different fruits and veggies every week – this week I only bought Romaine lettuce and some Granny Smith apples there.

We eat a lot of eggs (I eat them a lot in the morning, and the three of us eat hard-boiled eggs as snacks).  Eggs are totally a wonder-food that are often overlooked!

At Aldi’s, I spent $41.24:

035

There are plenty of things that aren’t clean in this photo – remember we’re on the 5-year plan! :)  My husband can easily eat around 3,00-3,500 calories a day in the summer since his job is so labor-intensive, so he goes through a lot of snacks – more than I can physically make for him.  (And those of you who know Chris are laughing since he’s only about 150 pounds soaking wet!)  So the chips and pretzels and store-bought bread are for him, as are the marshmallows for homemade Rice Krispie treats.  You will also notice pepperoni and turkey bacon (not clean because of preservatives).

However, I was also able to get wild-caught salmon, spinach, mozzarella, and a bunch of fresh produce, in addition to some other pantry staples.

We do not eat a lot of organic foods at this point other than organic milk for me, organic yogurt for Luke, and organic produce when it’s on sale (like this week; I bought organic spinach for $2.99).  It’s definitely something I’d like to improve on but the the cost is astronomical!

At Rite Aid and CVS I only spent $1.90 after coupons, sales, and Extra Bucks (*there are two packs of wipes missing from this photo*):

043

Extra items:

- Whole milk gallon (for DH) and two newspapers: $6.49
- 2 jars of extra-virgin, unrefined, cold-pressed organic coconut oil from Amazon, thanks to a tip from Money Saving Mom: $11.83 (I had free shipping)
- Strawberries from the field: $14 for about 12 pounds
- Lids/pectin for the freezer jam: $4.97
(Not shown is a container of pureed frozen berries, plus 3 baby food jars of jam and a huge Tupperware of fresh berries that was devoured before the picture. :) Btw, if you want a great lower-sugar jam, use the Ball method – it’s fantastic and SO easy – no boiling! I am so glad Kimba outlined it on her site – I had always used Sure-Jell in the past.)

nyc 011

My total for the week: $101.75.  Close enough! :)

If you’re wondering what we eat…

Breakfasts: Cereal for DH and eggs or cereal for me

Lunches: Sandwiches for DH and leftovers or salads for me

Dinners last week:
Monday: Taco Salad
Tuesday: Asian Grilled Salmon (amazing recipe I will post next Tuesday); spinach/romaine salad with onions, peppers, mozzarella, and tomatoes; rice for Chris
Wednesday: Grilled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches w/Bacon and Onion; cukes on the side (no bread or BBQ for me)
Thursday: Leftovers (I was out picking strawberries)
Friday: In NYC, dinner at a friend’s house
Saturday: More leftovers, lots of jam over vanilla ice cream because that’s when I made it :), desserts at a friend’s house

(It was an odd week for us but it gives you a glimpse.)

---------------

Hope this post is helpful to some of you!  We have a long way to go but we’re making progress!  It is frustrating sometimes to know how much cheaper our grocery budget would be if we bought a lot more processed foods with coupons, but I know this is so much better for us.  I do plan on posting more about In Defense of Food later this week so stay tuned! :)

P.S. I appreciate the fact that nobody stopped following me this time when I posted something close to my heart!  haha I have had a few e-mails and calls already regarding the post below and I am so thankful that God was able to use my “tough times” to encourage others!  Feel free to e-mail at any time! :)

Work Your Wallet Wednesday - 3rd Edition

**EDIT: I'm noticing that Mr. Linky is being really weird today and sometimes not showing up - even in two different internet browsers. If it's not working for you, I'm so sorry - I have no idea what's up! If you don't mind, please leave a comment if you can or can't see it -because currently I can't!**

Welcome, everyone! Today’s the day to show off those deals! If you’re new here, check out this link to see the party “rules.”

I worked at our local flea market this weekend with Lindsay – we had so much fun but since we were working we didn’t get a chance to scour the deals like we normally do. But we each made a decent amount of money and I can honestly say it was fun talking and bargaining with people! I made $164, which will be yard sale and date money for the next few months. :)

Here we are, bright and early (we got up at 5:15)!

Here’s some of our stuff about two hours in – yup, we just laid it all out there and people just dug their way through it. It wasn’t the prettiest layout but it did the job!

I picked up a few plastic bins (I am obsessed with baskets) and bought a few pieces of fake fruit from Lindsay.

However, the REAL deal of the week was at CVS! I know I showed you my trip last week but I just can’t help myself – it’s too good to pass up! :)

The picture below cost me TWENTY-ONE CENTS! Plus I was given 9 Extra Bucks for my next trip to the store.

Here’s how I did it:

1 Dove Shampoo
1 NutriSkin body wash
5 boxes Puffs w/lotion
1 roll CVS paper towel
1 bath poof
2 Dove milk chocolate bars
(wow, just realized it’s kinda weird that Dove makes shampoo and chocolate! lol)

Used:
$2/1 Dove coupon (internet)
$1/1 NutriSkin body wash (internet)
1 $1/1 and 4 $.50/1 Puffs coupons from Vocalpoint
$1/1 CVS paper product (from the red machine)
$1/1 CVS skin care item (from the red machine)
10 EB from last week’s trip
{the two candy bars were thrown in at the last minute for my husband b/c my subtotal was too low at that point to use my Extra Bucks)

Paid:
$.21

Given:
$4.50 EB from the Dove
$4.49 EB from the NutriSkin

I can honestly and truly say that were it not for Crystal Paine’s website and learning how to shop at CVS two and a half years ago, there is a good chance I might not have been able to stay at home with my son. Shopping this way has saved us literally thousands of dollars and I am so thankful for her blog!

--------

Now it’s your turn!

Please remember the three simple rules of the party.

1. Finds or purchases must be $50 or less per item and in an unaltered state. (Please no DIY projects – save those babies for the other fabulous parties!)

2. Make sure you link up to your blog post and not your blog as a whole.

3. Please link back here so others know where to join the party (use the button if you’d like!)

Can’t wait to see what all of you have found!

Work Your Wallet Wednesday #2

Welcome! If you're new to WYWW, check out this link where I explain what the party's all about.

This week I stopped at CVS to take advantage of their diaper sale and I am SO glad I did!
Here's what I came home with:

Now, usually my "target" price for diapers is what Target sells them for (haha, seriously!) - $19.99. I always have $2 coupons from the paper, so normally I get a box for $17.99. If they're on sale, even better - but I have to buy Pampers brand only and clearly they're not something I can get away with not having for a week or two, so I don't stress out about the price too much.

However, this entire picture cost me $9.49 - plus I was given TEN extra bucks to spend for next time! Now that's a great deal!

Here's how I did it, if you're curious (I did have some great coupons to use):

Transaction #1

Pantene Shampoo ($2.99)
Pantene Conditioner ($2.99)
2 Olay Hand Renewal dish liquid ($.96 each)

Used:
2 $2/1 Pantene product from Vocalpoint
(I highly encourage you to sign up for this if you haven't already -
they send AMAZING things to your mailbox!)
$1/2 Olay coupon from a Sunday paper

Paid:
3 EB - nothing out of pocket

Received:
2 EB from the Pantene (1 EB from each)

Transaction #2

3 packages of CVS wipes ($2 each)
1 package of diapers ($19.99)

Used:
$4.50 off box of diapers (CVS coupon from the red machine)
$2 off baby purchase of $10 or more
(also from the red machine - I told you I had sweet coupons to use!)
$2/1 Pampers coupon from a Sunday paper
5 EB
2 EB from Pantene

Paid:
$9.49

Received:
10 EB (from purchase of $25 in baby items)

I could have done a happy dance in the store right there! I would have been thrilled enough to get a box of diapers that cheap, but throw in all that other stuff AND my 10 EB, too?! Thrilled. :)

Check out any of the links on my right sidebar for more info about to shop frugally at CVS.

-------
Now it's your turn!

Please remember the 3 simple rules for participating:

1. Finds must be $50 (or less) per item and in an unaltered state.
2. Please link back to my blog so others can join the party
(use the button if you'd like!).
3. Make sure you link up to your blog post, not your blog as a whole.

Can't wait to see what all of you have found!

Buying Groceries At the Drugstores

**** Be sure to check out my post above for a Tupperware giveaway you can enter to win! ****

In the past two weeks, I've really gotten back into the drugstore game (see the list on the right side of my blog for the frugal links I use daily). I used to get nearly all of our toiletries at CVS for basically free 2-3 years ago, but then the economy turned and CVS got a lot stingier with their deals. Anyway, the past two weeks they've been too good for me to pass up and I'm pretty thrilled with the stuff I've been able to snag!

I never used to shop at Walgreens, but I started this month and I really like it! I've made a couple "newbie" mistakes, but I think after 3 times of shopping there I've finally figured out my kinks! Here's what I got this week (clearance candy was a filler item).

(Scroll to the bottom to see how much I paid!)

One thing I want to point out is that you shouldn't overlook grocery purchases at the drugstores! I've already written about how Target has become a favorite place to shop for groceries on the cheap, and CVS and Walgreens are no exception.

For instance, this week there was a sale at CVS for Bumble Bee Tuna for $.49 a can. There were $1/5 internet coupons floating around, but I found two cans at my CVS with peelie coupons on them for the same price. Limit was 10, so I got ten cans of tuna for $2.90 - $.29 each! That's cheaper than Aldi's! (If you think you could never get used to Chunk Light tuna, like I used to think, I encourage you to look at the ingredient list
on Chunk White tuna - it might change your mind!)

At Walgreens, there was a deal for Hunt's tomato sauce for $.39 a can. This is not cheaper than Aldi's ($.25), but still a great price - especially since I needed filler items - this worked out perfectly! (I would have bought more but the limit was 3.)
I always scan the food aisles in CVS while I'm there - you can combine a food item on clearance with a manufacturer's coupon for a great deal!

Also, pay attention to other great deals, even if they're NOT Extra Bucks or Register Reward items! I have never shopped at Rite Aid in my life, but I saw that this week Kleenex was on sale for 88 cents a box. Combined with my $1/4 coupon, that made them only 63 cents each! That falls below my price goal for 70 cents per box of tissues. I don't live near Kroger, Harris Teeter, Shop Rite, or any other amazing grocery store - so in my part of the country this is a great price. (I shopped at Kroger in college and the first year we were married - in my opinion it's the best grocery chain! They always had markdowns on fruits, meats, and organic items. I miss it!)

Like I said, I made two rookie mistakes this week at Walgreens, but overall I'm still satisfied. I'm still learning!

So, do you want to know how much I spent on the above picture? $2.65, plus I was given $6 RR back!

And want to know why the Olay is circled? Because thanks to the $15 rebate I'm sure you've seen all over the internet (I did an Olay deal a few weeks ago, too), I'm getting a $15 check in the mail, which makes it all more than freeeeee! :)

Music to my ears, baby!

P.S. Check out Amy's blog - she posted about a Tupperware item that I think is pretty neat! She said she wants to do a giveaway soon so stay tuned!
