Tasty Tuesday

{Updated: If you're visiting from Smockity Frocks today, welcome! This is an older post but I hope you enjoy it!}

Today's recipe seriously could NOT be easier.

You don't even have to thaw the chicken. Really.

I really do love to cook, but I am a chronic forget-to-pull-the-chicken-out-until-5:00 kind of girl.

Plus I have a 7-week-old baby who is definitely nowhere near a schedule yet.

3 ingredients.

Have I convinced you yet? :)

"Super Easy Chicken"

- Mary Seielstad; Sparks, NV

4 frozen chicken breast halves
1 pkg dry Italian dressing mix
1 cup of chicken broth or water

Put the chicken in the crockpot. Sprinkle with dressing mix.
Pour broth over chicken. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

*I recommend using low-sodium chicken broth, cooking for no more than 6 hours, and serving over egg noodles or rice. Seriously, it's so warm and delicious! Enjoy!

  1. Okay, I'm convinced:) Love finding new crockpot recipes and this sounds yummy!! Can't wait to try it.

  2. Great little, easy cookbook. I would love to invite you to join me for Crock Pot Wednesday at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com. Please come check it out. With a new baby, you will probably have lots of slow cooker recipes to share. Thanks so much for posting.

  3. LOVE 3 ingredients, and I've enjoyed this same great cookbook. This is one we can remember when at the store ... having forgotten our list. I "came home" from teaching when I had our first baby, too; it takes some adjusting, but I wouldn't change it for anything, and that was almost 15 years ago. :)

  4. love it, can't wait to try it ... I am totally one of those oh crap it's 5 oclock and I've nothing to make for dinner ppl!

  5. Jess! That is one of my favorite recipes! You cant get any easier than 3 ingredients! That is what I am all about :-) Love, Mrs.B

  6. I've seen this recipe a few times -- must be a keeper! Thanks.

  7. Thank you for linking up! Anything with "super easy" in the title is right up my alley!

  8. Try any fish fillets done in Italian dressing in the oven, serve over rice and with steamed veggies. My go to meal~
